Theres nothing like the real thing but when you work in the ice box we call home, sometimes you have to make substitutions. This week was cheating baseball, football, rodeos, and rock climbing in the studio. Thank god all the shots were tights and macros... I forced my self to step outside of my comfort zone and shoot something other than Red... I recently purchased a new Sony. And up until now, I didn't like the images Sony's sensors made. Always seemed harsh and video-ish to me. These images are different. The cameras 14 stops of DR and smooth skin tones are really looking good! Almost Alexa-like to me.
Close up with Sony S-Log. You can see the waveform's levels even as I crank a heavy back light onto the subject...
Recently I directed a casino ad in west Michigan. I haven't been to west Michigan much but it was pretty awesome! We had a good time and killed it. Thanks team.
